Membership & House Rules

Cometa Living is a private, members-only community designed for adventurous, free-spirited individuals seeking connection, productivity, and an elevated way of living. To maintain a harmonious and high-quality experience, all members, guests, and staff must abide by the following house rules and membership terms.

1. Membership Values

To ensure Cometa Living remains a vibrant and respectful community, we uphold the following core principles:

Kindness & Respect: We foster an inclusive environment, celebrating diversity in gender, race, religion, political views, sexuality, and physical ability.
Positive Interaction: Respect is fundamental—any form of abusive language, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Decent Behavior: Fun and spirited adventures are encouraged, but misuse of alcohol or drugs, excessive noise, or disruptive behavior will result in removal.
Open Communication: We value our members' insights and encourage them to share feedback to help us improve the experience for all.

2. Using the Houses

Guests: Members may bring up to 3 guests during the day and 1 overnight. During peak periods, guest access may be restricted.
Children: Cometa Living is an adults-only space; children are not permitted.
Animals: No pets allowed, except for legally recognized service animals.
House Environment: Members are expected to contribute positively through their behavior and dress.
Privacy & Discretion: As private retreats, members and guests must respect each other's privacy.
Photography & Recording: Members may take personal photos and videos but must be mindful of others’ privacy. Photos of other members should not be taken or shared without their consent. Any form of intrusive filming or commercial content creation requires prior approval from Cometa Living.
Smoking: Prohibited indoors and in most outdoor areas—designated smoking areas are provided.
Post & Packages: Members may send/receive mail at Cometa Living properties, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage.

3. Membership Payment & Cancellation

Membership Payment

Upon approval or renewal of your membership, fees become payable immediately.
By providing us with your payment details, you accept and agree to being charged the applicable membership fees in the form requested by Cometa Living upon your application being approved or renewed.
Cometa Living reserves the right to amend membership fees at any time. Members will be notified in advance of any changes to the amount, date, or frequency of payment.
Non-Payment: Failure to pay the annual subscription (or any installment) within one month of the due date will result in suspension of access to Cometa Living properties and possible termination of membership.

Membership Cancellation & Refunds

Voluntary Cancellation: If you choose to resign your membership (or your membership is canceled partway through the year), you are still required to pay the full membership fee for the remainder of the year.
Refunds: Refunds are granted only at Cometa Living’s discretion.

4. Behavior Scoring & Membership Conduct

Members and their guests are rated by other members on a peer-driven system, with a score of up to 5.
Consistently low scores will trigger a review by the Membership Committee.
If a member’s score falls below an acceptable threshold or their behavior disrupts the community, Cometa Living reserves the right to revoke their membership and immediately remove them from the property.
The Membership Committee reserves the right to terminate a membership and require immediate departure if a member’s actions are deemed harmful or disruptive to the community.

5. Safety & Security

Personal Safety: Members are responsible for their own safety and must respect personal boundaries within the community.
Accidents & Injuries: Any incidents must be reported within 24 hours.
Liability Waiver: Cometa Living is not liable for any personal loss, damage, or injury unless caused by gross negligence.

6. Digital Safety & Privacy

Data Protection: Member data is handled in compliance with privacy laws and used solely to enhance the member experience.
Confidentiality: Any misuse of private member information will result in expulsion.

7. Environmental Responsibility

Members are encouraged to minimize their environmental impact, including responsible water and energy consumption, reducing waste, and supporting local businesses

8. Responsibility for Property & Damages

Member Liability: Members are financially responsible for any damage they or their guests cause to Cometa Living properties, furnishings, or amenities.
Damage Reporting: Any accidental damage must be reported immediately.
Repair & Replacement Costs: Members will be charged for any necessary repairs or replacements. Cometa Living reserves the right to determine the appropriate cost and charge the responsible member.
Security Deposit (if applicable): In certain cases, a security deposit may be required to cover potential damages.

9. Zero-Tolerance Policy on Sexual Harassment

Cometa Living maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment in any form.

Definition & Expectations

Sexual harassment includes unwanted sexual advances, inappropriate physical contact, sexually explicit comments, or any behavior that creates an uncomfortable or hostile environment for members or guests.
All members and guests are expected to respect personal boundaries and conduct themselves in a manner that aligns with Cometa Living’s values of respect and kindness.

Reporting & Consequences

Any incidents should be reported immediately to Cometa Living staff or management.
Reports will be handled confidentially, and appropriate action will be taken.
Immediate Removal & Expulsion: Members found to have engaged in sexual harassment will be removed from the property immediately and may face permanent expulsion from the community.
No Refund Policy: Expulsion due to violations of this policy does not qualify for a refund of membership fees.

Acknowledgment & Agreement

By becoming a member of Cometa Living, you acknowledge and agree to these rules. Cometa Living reserves the right to update or amend the rules at any time to maintain the integrity of the community.
